Several minuets after I had ran through the door, I called a "family" meeting. "Okay, kids. our best bet, I guess, would be to hang around down here until the Ratters leave. Does that sound good ?" Adam nodded, Meggie gave me a thumbs up, Nick shrugged, Alex muttered something about cowardly, narrow-minded girls, and Rose complained that she was hungry.
Half an hour later we were sitting at a table in basement eating PB&J sandwiches from the secret stash and Alex was trying to hack into the Impossible Academy website, again. Nick was at his side, muttering things like
"maybe you should just Google search ' Impossible Academy' or something ?" Alex it typed it in, his fingers crossed. Then he punched his fist in the air .
"Guys! you'll never believe this, but I've got something!" we all ran over to the computer table. "well, click on it!" Meggie said impatiently. Alex did. We were held in suspense as the white screen flashed black letters that read 'Connecting...conecting.....'
After what seemed like hours, web page popped up. written on it were the words log in here.
I sighed.
"Oh well. we might have guessed. " I muttered. I myself was disappointed, but nothing like Alex, of his face was to be trusted. He had thought he had hit something good. We all had.
But than Meggie said
"one sec! I have an idea!"

My Story, part 1
I was trying to clean the bedroom I shared with Rose when Margaret, or Meggie, as we call her, flew in. She gasped out "Ella, hurry! The police are here-again!"
My thoughts flipped instantly from how can a six-year-old keep her room so messy to eek! Hide the Gadgets from clueless, invading, non-human police!
"Do the boys and Rose know?" I asked, my mind racing.
"Yep, everybody but you. " she said.
"Okay." I said, trying to sound cool and collected "Get everyone into the Computer Room. I'll be there in a second."
I grabbed a set of seven Walkie-Talkies and a ordinary-looking cell phone from my dresser and was dashing to the basement when the door to our cozy suburb house was busted down with an impossible-for-humans kick. On the other side of the door were five incredibly ugly men. I was pleased for a second, thinking wow! they sent their best Ratters on us! We must be pretty special ! Then the Ratters began to morph. Their noses got longer and their eyes got smaller and they sprouted fur! Soon they were no longer men, but six foot tall rats in police uniforms! I sprinted for the basement.
Ten-year-old Nick opened the door for me. I barged through into the high tech room and flopped into a swirly chair. Not smart. When I stopped spinning, I slumped down and started thinking.
Maybe now I can explain.
Rose, Adam, Meggie, Nick, Alex, and I, Ella, grew up in a place called the Impossible Academy, where we were trained to fight the 'good guys' by evil half man half rat Ratters. Ever since we escaped three years ago we have been trying to hack into a top-secret website. We have been trying to save the world.
